Apex House is a a new 26 storey, 560 room student accommodation building located in the Wembley Regeneration Area within the London Borough or Brent.
The project will be delivered by Tide Construction and Vision Modular Systems using highly advanced off-site techniques and is expected/has been completed over the course of only 12 months.
The project is targeting a BREEAM rating of Excellent and as part of the strategy targeted the Ma101 optional bonus LCA credits available. Henry Nicholson, HTA Architects is a trained eToolLCD user and successfully completed an eTool certified model to perform the LCA calculations and inform the design team.
The construction comprises of pile foundations and a series of prefabricated modular blocks. One key sustainability feature is the reduction of construction waste and assembly impacts, other aspects that rreduce the life cycle CO2e of the project include passive design, airtightness and Oak timber flooring in the common areas.
Additional rail infrastructure between Bayswater and Meltham stations. Whatley Crescent-Beechboro Road South connection under the railway. Integrating bus services with the local road network.
